Artifacts, right panel & notebook

The right panel is where structured work lands: artifacts the agent builds, files it reads, tools it runs, threads you branch — and the notebook where your own notes live with the topic.

Think of the right panel as a portal with several panes, and the conversation decides which one opens. Toggle it manually with Cmd+] (Ctrl+]) or the header controls.

Artifacts in action

Find generated files in My Documents

Ask the agent to save a generated script, configuration, or document. A successful save adds it to My Documents for the conversation. Exported files include a download link, and the list refreshes when the save finishes. Open My Documents from the conversation sidebar's More options menu to find the saved output later.

A code block in an answer is a preview. Look for a successful save or export result before treating it as a saved file. If a tool reports a failure, the agent should explain which save failed and keep any already saved output available.

Download scripts and configuration files

Ask for a downloadable text file and give its filename, such as run.sh, pipeline.yaml, or notes.txt. Wingman saves the supplied text with that filename and provides a Download button. Creating a text file does not require the Cloud Sandbox and does not run its contents. The download preserves the text, including line breaks, without adding a Markdown title.

Text files can contain up to 1 MiB of UTF-8 content. Give a filename without a folder path. Open the download from the completed file card or its entry in My Documents. Workspace execution and exports of existing workspace files still require an available runtime.

Find the same work in Projects

Wingman also saves generated documents in Projects. When the conversation has no project yet, it creates one for that conversation. Generated text files and files exported from a workspace appear there with a download link. Documents created through Projects in this conversation also appear in My Documents.

Check the save status on the document or file card. If Projects is unavailable, the file stays in My Documents and remains downloadable. Reconnect as directed and use Retry Projects save to check or complete the same save.

Documents the agent keeps

Some answers save a document to the agent's own documents; the tool call shows it as Agent Documents. A document the agent saves while you chat appears in My Documents under This conversation, listed by the title you asked for. The agent's other documents, from earlier conversations or its setup, are listed below under Other documents from this agent. Click a document to open it beside the chat, where you can read and edit it. Deleting it from My Documents removes it for the agent too.

The agent's own documents stay in this chat and are not copied to Projects. To keep a copy in Projects, ask the agent to save the document to a project.

Notebook basics

Keep notes in the notebook

Every topic has a notebook. Toggle it from the conversation header and a rich document editor opens beside the chat — headings, lists, code, the works. It autosaves as you type (Cmd+S saves explicitly), and it stays attached to the topic, so the plan, the decisions, and the conversation that produced them live in one place. Use it for running notes during a long session, or to draft the summary you will hand off when the work moves elsewhere.
