Wingman Chat overview

Wingman Chat is the hosted conversation surface for questions, planning, reviews, and agent-assisted work. It is the same product on the web at chat.wingman.axelera.ai and inside the desktop app — one account, one history, every device.

Core ideas behind Chat

Chat is organized around a few durable ideas: agents own the conversation style, topics keep each piece of work separate, files and knowledge bases carry context, tools let the agent act, and memory makes recurring work feel continuous. Everything else in this section builds on those.

This page is the map. Follow the groups in order if you are new — they mirror how most people grow into Chat: send a first message, get fluent with the everyday surfaces, organize your work, then automate it.

  • Start chatting: The first-run wizard, the home screen, finding your way around the shell, and the shortcuts that make everything faster. Start at Your first chat.
  • Everyday chat: The composer, reading and working with responses, and letting agents use tools in a conversation. This is the daily-driver material.
  • Organize & share: Topics, sharing and exporting, the right panel with artifacts and the notebook, files and knowledge bases, and what Wingman remembers about you.
  • Agents & automation: Build your own agents, run multi-agent group chats, and put agents on a schedule with recurring jobs.
  • Evaluate agent quality: Benchmark agents against representative tasks in the Evaluation Lab and compare their results before rollout.
  • Settings & platforms: The full settings reference, Chat on mobile, Chat inside the desktop app, and how to send feedback from any screen.

Web and desktop

One more orientation point: Chat on the web and Chat in the desktop app are the same hosted product. The desktop app adds Agent Dev, local AI tools, and a distraction-free fullscreen chat mode around the same account — nothing you learn here is desktop-only unless a page says so.
