Command palette, search & focus

Three habits make Chat feel instant: the command palette for going anywhere, search for finding anything, and Zen mode for shutting everything else out.

The command palette in action

Palette, search, and Zen mode

  1. Open the command palette

Press Cmd+K (Ctrl+K on Linux) anywhere in Chat. The palette searches commands and destinations in one box: create an agent, an agent group, a topic, or a library; open settings; change the theme; jump to any page; send feedback; reach support links. Type a few letters, press Enter, done.

  2. Start AI actions from the palette

The palette also starts AI work directly through its Ask AI entries: ask the Axelera AI agent a question, build an agent, build an agent group, or pick a specific agent by name. These begin a new AI interaction instead of just navigating.

  3. Search everything

Press Cmd+J (Ctrl+J) for search. Use it to find topics and conversations by content when you remember what was said but not where.

  4. Go distraction-free with Zen mode

Press Cmd+\ (Ctrl+\) to toggle Zen mode. The sidebars and chrome disappear and only the conversation remains — ideal for long reading or focused writing. Press the same shortcut to come back.
